I'm Arc. I like collecting Pokemon. One day I thought it would be fun to try and get as many Pokemon in unusual pokeballs as possible. This will hopefully become a catalog of my efforts.
Basically, a Pokeball that cannot be mass-obtained in regular play, or can only be mass-obtained in certain games.
Many of these balls were made available in the Switch games, but they are very rare or difficult to obtain, so having a Pokemon in these balls is still a neat feat. (Hisuian Pokeballs may also qualify but I'm not worrying about them right now.)
I started playing Pokemon in gen 4, so I focused my efforts on obtaining Pokemon in gen 4 balls: namely, the apricorn balls, Safari, and Sport balls. why? Well, firstly because they're neat, but also because I had vague ideas of using it as a resource for breeders.
Since I've caught all these Pokemon myself, I can confirm they're 100% legit, which is something some Pokemon collectors can be concerned about.
As a secondary concern, I'd like to breed hidden abilities onto as many of these Pokemon as possible, but we'll see if that happens.
Unfortunately, there will be Pokemon I'm missing: for example, there's no longer any way to access the Dream World, as it was shut down years ago; the only Pokemon I can easily get in Dream Balls are the ones from Dream Radar (which I do have). Perhaps I will one day try to source outside help for these ones.
