About Tales of the Abyss

It was also ported to the Nintendo 3DS six years later, in 2011, with several quality of life updates. About Tales

The Tales series, also known as Tales of, is a JRPG series published by Bandai Namco. It began in 1995 with the release of Tales of Phantasia for the Super Famicom, and is still ongoing today. While it's moderately well-known in North America, it is one of the most popular RPG series in Japan. Like many other long-running video game series, most Tales games are stand-alone stories, requiring little to no knowledge of other games to understand, though they do share many common qualities. In particular, the Tales games are well-known for their anime style, fantasy settings, real-time combat system, skits (portrait-based character interactions), and incorporation of fantasy political worldbuilding elements.
